The OSCE relies heavily on process, thus with effective questioning you can conquer any OSCE case! Ace the OSCE has developed a streamlined process that will help simplify the components of the exam, while boosting student confidence. Ace the OSCE closely follows “NAPRA Professional Competencies for Canadian Pharmacists at Entry to Practice” as a guideline for our process to ensure the information is directly relatable to the OSCE exam.

My name is Rebecca McLean and I graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta PharmD program in 2019. After completing the PEBC examination in May 2019, I practiced at an inner city community pharmacy in Edmonton. Many of my coworkers were international pharmacy graduates who had the intention of taking the PEBC examination. I helped my coworker pass his examination through coaching, writing and practicing a multitude of cases, and focusing on PROCESS. I have also been a preceptor for pharmacy technician students, so I am no stranger to tutoring!
As a graduate of the University of Alberta, I have spent countless hours practicing mock OSCE cases and receiving thorough case debriefings. This expertise, along with passing the examination myself, working as a community pharmacist to solve patient-care problems and tutoring other students provides the platform on which Ace the OSCE was created.
Ultimately, I saw value in helping international graduates pass their examinations and this is what sparked my interest in creating ACE the OSCE. I look forward to being your colleague one day.
